As you may see in the Release Notes we have been busy for the last week polishing some core mechanics of the game and fighting some nasty bugs.
We have put a lot of attention into making existing crafts work around some of this changes, so their behaviour should remain unchanged, but new crafts will have to work around this constraints, hopefully spicing up the gameplay a bit.
If you find old crafts misbehaving (and you are 100% sure they weren't misbehaving in 0.9.8) please, let us know with a bug report, and if you find any of the new constraints annoying let us know in the comments, now is the moment to balance things as much as possible with Career Mode in mind.
We said that the release date for the mobile beta was this friday, but we want to see the game running on all your phones as bad as you do! For this reason, we have already submitted the beta versions to Google Play and the Apple Store, and you will get them on your devices as soon as they approve them if you are enrolled in the beta program.
The iOS version has been approved and should be available for beta testing now on TestFlight.
Join the iOS beta here and the Google Play beta here. Join the Steam beta by right-clicking SimpleRockets 2 in the Steam client -> Properties -> Betas -> and then select "beta - Public Testing" from the dropdown.
@Jpaul that will not happen ever
Do giveaway pls, make the game free on AppStore for like 24hours
@omna One of the changes we made in the last update is for Vizzy to require electricity so your craft is probably running out of batteries.
@AndrewGarrison @Pedro coding don't work well on new updates, some rockets don't even follow coding now, please fix! In 0.9.904
Hey guys, I think I found a bug and I’m not sure if someone mentioned already. It seems like the astronaut 1st person view is offset forwards. I realized it when I couldn’t see my instruments in cockpit view.
@Toinkove thank you very much
@KellyNyanbinary i can't
There's a bug where xml edited engines have fuel in the tanks but only burn for a second or two before showing 0 fuel on the bottom but the tanks say they have fuel.
@nss1boi go to settings quality image effects and then reentry vapor trails on
@nss1boi Reentry is in the mobile game. Please enable it in your game settings.
@pedro16797 add reentry to mobile
@AnsarNevrekar1 they said they were gonna shoot for 2 weeks in experimental then 2 in beta and if everything went well, release in late March or early April.
so maybe sometime next week or the week after.
When version 0.9.905 will release?
@Toinkove We got the formula from this paper's section 2.3, the equation is 2.3.1. Looking at the only real comparison I could find, the rutherford engine, which has a thrust close to what you mention, uses 37kW, which in turn would need a 2.16MJ battery, so if that wikipedia article is correct we are way off! I'll look further into this soon, thanks for the headsup
The electric pump fed engines seem to use a lot of energy with the 0.9.905 update! is that the intended outcome? I need a 1.1 GJ battery just to keep a 20.1 kN pixie engine runing for 57 seconds.
@Tucanchicky that means that no one can add you because it isn’t available
@TweedleAerospace but thanks
@TweedleAerospace it still says “this beta is full”
@AndrewGarrison what is the new beta?
@Tucanchicky click the link
Can someone let me in the test beta?
a game without software bugs is simply impossible, a game that has been ”fully developed” has very minor bugs that can be easily be walk passed, or has a frustrating but rare bug that the developers cannot fix, like the kraken in kerbal space program
by the way, squad and private division stopped working on ksp and will release the sequel this year
Im a Google play store beta tester . I think there's two beta sign ups . One through Google other is through game developers.. you can sign up for beta through Google . Unfortunately I get all beta versions of all my games before their release
