Official support for downloadable custom planetary systems is here! The website has been updated with pages to allow you to view and download celestial bodies and planetary systems that players have created and uploaded. When starting a new sandbox, you now have the option to select which planetary system to use.
This update is our first big step on the path to implementing 'Planet Studio', which is currently the most upvoted suggestion on our website. Currently, planet studio is only accessible from the developer console and is just a tool used for viewing celestial bodies and uploading custom bodies and systems. Actually creating and modifying custom content is still just an XML only capability at this time, but we are hard at work on a future update which will bring more in-game editing capability.
A few players have already been hard at work editing XML to create custom systems and bodies and the results are awesome. Please take a look at at their creations and feel free to toss them an upvote (both systems and bodies can be upvoted).

For those of you interested in creating custom celestial bodies and/or planetary systems with XML right now, planet studio has received some updates in this release. Details on changes and some basic instructions on how to use planet studio in its current state can be found here.
The full release notes can be found here with a list of all bug fixes and tweaks in the new version.
Thanks, @pedro16797 for the suggestion on how to rearrange the navigation links at the top of the page! I think it looks a lot better now! What does everyone else think?
@Hash you can change the camera speed using the +- buttons. Are you on mac or windows?
@SassyBoi @theUSSR the current planet studio isn't very performance intensive because it's not generating terrain that much. Once a fully implemented Planet Studio comes out the battery drainage may be too high and a lot of mobile devices could overheat.
@AndrewGarrison My phone works just fine with the Planet Studio, except when it can't zoom in or zoom out. please fix that.
@CPSU3417 what kind of free versi

how do create the planets by phone?
@OldCoach The 0.9.306 update is an update for the game that you should automatically have gotten from whichever platform you purchased the game on. Player created planetary systems can be viewed from here, and each system should have a download button in the top right of the page. Recent blog posts show up everywhere, so there are currently a couple 'posts' in that list that aren't actually planetary systems to be downloaded.
Oh ok @Beamaerospace
@NathanMikeska I don't see a download button for 09.306.
@OldCoach No, downloading a system should automatically download the individual planets that it includes.
I know this may sound like a dumb question, but do we download each individual planet from crafts section?
@NathanMikeska A samsung tablet. I installed a downloaded system, and it worked flawlessly. In the standard Juno system, the game became "fragile" and crashed easily.
@daylodia Downloading planets isn't super useful right now. You need to download a planetary system and select it when starting a new game.
@whineinstein What device do you have? Also, its it crashing with the stock system or is this using a downloaded system?
My opinion is to add career mode in the game.
I just like the space men
