The procedural fuselage part has been instrumental in empowering players to build mind-blowingly awesome designs in SimplePlanes. We've taken what we had in SP and improved it quite a lot. We made them much simpler to use and a lot more powerful.
You can do basic re-shaping of the fuselage by stretching it vertically or resizing the radius. You can also change the top and bottom radii independently, which allows for making all different kinds of cones. You can also move individual edges in and out, push the center around, and scale each dimension independently. It feels a bit like a modeling app inside the game now.
To really explain it, a GIF is a worth a kilobyte of text.
I have no idea what I was trying to make in that GIF. I'm also not sure why I picked such a dark color on a dark background. I ran out of time and I had to just go with it.
From the part properties menu, you'll be able to adjust the amount and type of fuel in a fuselage. You'll also be able to add dead weight if you want some extra challenge (or need to slightly adjust that CoM). Another feature we've added is the option to switch the mesh style, so you can try out several variations of stripes, paneling, and any other designs that we can think of.
- Mass: Variable
- Price: Variable
- Size: Variable
- Fuel Types: RP1, Monopropellant, Xenon, Battery
- Dead Weight: 0kg - 500kg (0lbs to 1102lbs)
Here's a few teaser shots of a rocket I put together today using the new fuselage part.
Edit: Yes they will float in water. I forgot about that! Thanks, @chancey21.
What is rp1 for SR2 mobile version?
Thanks
Found it...kerlox
What is rp1 for SR2 mobile version?
Thanks
@andrewgarrison, i would like to have two fuelsage block modes, classic and modern, classic is the SP way and modern is the SR2 way, because most of us will be used to the SP way. And plus the sp way is more precise
I'm annoyed about not being able to shape them in the first plus you can get a nice view of smearth
That decorative fuselage was kinda out in the last update. @Brothen127
@AN2Felllla true, we still need that on SR2
Add fuselage 2.0 to SimplePlanes too, so we can have more decorative creations
Will there still be an option for adjusting fuselages in the way you adjust them in SP? I found the last update probably the best one for making super accurate and smooth aircraft on all platforms, and to get rid of that would kinda ba a bit... lame.
Smoagur.. um
@TheW4terDrop well XD
wow
Nice pun@TheW4terDrop
Smaturn V everyone
True if they added galaxies se would need a lot parte for a station each planet and we would never arrive to that galaxy even the time warp will take forever like in SR@NerdsGalore
@legendary666 I think new galaxies may be a bit of a stretch
@AndrewGarrison in KSP, you can put a thrust limiter on an engine. This makes it so you have less thrust per second, but you burn a proportional less fuel per second. This is extremely useful for things like SRBs, which have a high thrust and high fuel consumption, and being able to limit the thrust will make for more efficient and stable rockets.
I rate that picture 10 out of T H I C C
@Thederpingmemes
This looks realy nice
I had see a little wable on some joints
I dont know how to improve this but i think that is a thing that need to be improved
Maybe@KingAlpha42
@AndrewGarrison is there any way I can become a beta tester?
Can I be beta tester please?
@legendary666 or bombs and missiles and bombs and guns
Is it possible to config fuelsages the old way like in sp? Or only like this
We anticipate.
let me guess, detachers is next, later wheels, later sandbox, and finally new galaxies? or maybe new parts (srr but because there is no mobile version i can´t guess what's next)
