1st moon from Arkkana.
A metallic moon on the verge of being annihilated by Arkkana's gravitational might. Thanius holds onto many precious metals and minerals, but it will soon be lost--the Roche limit will soon get the best of it--and create a new ring system.
Planet Lore
Such an incandescent world would most likely not exist. Thanius is quite precious due to its metals and materials--despite being marginally intact. Long molten lava rivers--which were cracks and refractions on the moon's surface--snake and expand across the rough Thainan landscape. Huge pits of lava dot the moon, creating dangerously spectacular views. There are some notable extremophiles, such as the Lavindgre Muschatis, a microbe that lives off the residual heat. There are currently no known biologically multicellular creatures [Hyperant knows tho], but the microbes are already being studied, wondering how such creatures can live so peacefully in hellish environments.
Speaking on lunar side terms, Thanius has large craters and dangerously rough terrain. This is because when Thanius was forming, the ring particles were small and fine, and clumping up together easily, ergo the rough terrain formed. Consequently, this allowed vents to form, which harbored more life. Beneath the firey lava, lies the lava bed. It connects nearly directly to the core of the moon (which is highly active). Thus, they were given the acronym ECLP. ECLPs [Exposed Core Lava Pit] are "sea-leveled" volcanoes--typically not forming mountains because of the Tidal Force with Arkkana. They are deep and sometimes interrupt the lava rivers [cracks].
Overall Thanius--despite its looks--is still a wonderful moon to visit. It has the challenge of landing on it, you can visit the ECLP, lava rivers, the craters, and enjoy the dangerously breathtaking view of Arkkana!

Sorry for replying very late @Isosceles51, but Thanius does have a mantle and is not just an iron core. It gained its core from the metals in Arkkanna's rings. I have no idea as to why I had it like that in the first place (the US2 version had a large core and orbit much farther--my younger self knew). For now, the main "plot" of Thanius is that it was the core of a failed gas-dwarf moon, roughly the size of Earth. But it soon migrated to the inner Arkkannian System. Please note, however, this lore is not cannon, as the first lore (above) is very vague and lacks a lot of detail compared to my newer planets. For now, it will either be a "failed gas dwarf" or simply a metallic moon with a large iron core. I plan to revamp this, especially the cracks, because they aren't original (used lava template cracks) and the moon itself doesn't look like it's truly going to get ripped apart by Arkkanna's gravity.

I’m assuming that it is so dense due to silicate layers getting ripped from the moon if it gradually got closer. Am I correct, or is there some other reason why it is just an Iron core?
