Eunomia is the second moon of Hectarus. Eunomia is an icy moon with a subsurface ocean very similar to Europa in the solar system or Eurous in the Beta Virginis system. The nitrogen and hydrocarbons molecules that escape from the subsurface ocean get redirected onto the back of the moon because of Eunomia's interaction with Hectarus' magnetic field. Methane and nitrogen react with light to form red tholin molecules. Ionized salt molecules also accumulate on the front of the moon. The surface has only a few visible crater impacts because the surface changes and shifts quickly.
