An average sized habitable planet rich in minerals. Unlike Astoria I, it isn't tidally locked and is heated by some past and present volcanic activity. The planet has notably unique weather patterns and terrain, such as constant polar storms, or shallow, roughly circular seas with a large amount of foam near the shores.
Astoria II has a thriving civilization composed mostly of former Trappistan humans, mostly living off of tourism from the magnificent views of the volcanoes and mountains. The Menedis Launch Site serves as the main commercial spaceport for both departures and arrivals to the planet, with the Derutan Spaceport recieving traffic from smaller businesses or those wishing for a calmer stay, but a pier near the Ecailidos Volcano offers more private launches, and several more launch bases alongside mining industries are planned to be built.
Major/notable terrain features and landmarks marked on space-view map.
Originally based off of Orega from my SDU Trinary System.
Planet name and design are obviously based off of the one in the 90's video game Utopia: The Creation of a Nation (i mention that game too much, yes), no copyright infringement intended.

took a while to upload because of how much this likes to crash my game, but THE FIRST MAJOR BOI IS DONE
it's one of my favourite planets within ZG2, designed with scenic views in mind, and man are there a lot of landmarks, most notably the pier-basin thing which can be seen in the second image
i also aimed to make kind of a "nostalgic" ambience, so i went a bit extra on the orange filter... just wait until the in-game sunset or sunrise :)
