Orbit

Differus has an orbital period of about 4.3 Earth days. The moon's orbit is relatively stable and is not significantly perturbed by the other Paraterea satellites. The orbital inclination is about 0.16° relative to the equator of Paraterea.

Surface

The surface is covered with many impact craters, indicating its ancient age and history of collisions with space objects. Bright areas of the surface are covered with water ice formed by cryovolcanism. These icy regions stand out against the darker rocky areas, creating a contrasting topography.

Atmosphere

Differus has a tenuous atmosphere consisting mainly of hydrogen and helium, with minor admixtures of other gases. Despite this, the atmosphere is dense enough to create a light haze over the surface, especially noticeable from low orbit. The atmospheric pressure at the surface of Differus is about 0.01% of the pressure on Earth, making it barely noticeable but significant enough to influence surface processes.
