White Dwarf (WD) Miano: an extremely dense stellar corpse composed of degenerate matter, primarily superheated Hydrogen nuclei.

The surface temperature exceeds 50000 degrees Kelvin, however the corona exceeds 3000000 degrees Kelvin, it is not known why WD Miano's corona is at such high temperatures, however it is believed that the movement of dense material in Miano causes sounds of great amplitude to be generated. The extremely loud sound is then transfered to the corona by the atmosphere, causing it to heat up greatly.

WD Miano most likely formed after a Yellow-White G-type star Exhausted its fuel. This star then expanded into a red giant, before blowing its outer layers into space, forming a collosal planetary nebula. The Saldis system resides within this nebula and the gasses of the long dead Miano encircle the system, having expanded far into the galaxy at this point in time.

Based on Miano's and Saldis' isotopic composition, it can be infered that both stars come from the same gas cloud. It is believed that Miano and Saldis were, and still are, a binary star system with both stars orbiting at a great distance. If Miano previously had planets, they were all destroyed in Miano's red giant phase. The new planets Miano has acquired were actually formed from expelled gasses during the time the outer layers of Miano were flung away.

If Miano was still a G type star, it would appear Twice as bright as Eritu in Dalkso's sky, it would be between 5 and 8 Saldis radii, but would only be slightly larger than other planets in the sky. If Miano was in its red giant phase however, it would appear 3 times as large as Carodo, with a brightness greater than that of Saldis, even at its greater distance from Dalkso. Miano's red giant phase would have been so massive that if it replaced Saldis, Miano's surface would extend to Noktas, engulfing everything inside.

The destruction of Miano around 600 million years ago is believed to have contributed to an extinction event on Dalkso, as well as annihilating Casitsa's atmosphere, leading to water vapour contributing more and more to atmospheric mass and therefore increasing the greenhouse effect on Casitsa.

Miano orbits too far for its massive gravity to affect more Saldis system objects, however any planet or asteroid unfortunate enough to approach too close is either shot out of the system, or devoured by Miano.

Life on planets around Miano is impossible due to the lack of stellar wind emitted by Miano; counterintuitively this wind protects other stellar systems from the gasses of the interstellar medium, a mixture of ionised gasses and dust that makes life almost impossible. A very high surface luminosity and temperature ensures the habitable zone of the White Dwarf remains too distant, any planets inside the habitable zone are in very unstable orbits.
