@Hyperant honestly it seems to be a sine wave of sorts... periods of low-level users pumping out planets that are literally just templates with zero changes apart from changing the noon color in the fog shader, to the "mid level" stuff with somewhat unique planets that are nevertheless still very obvious template mods most of the time, and very rarely we get the big dogs posting absolutely baller planets
(i myself am stuck at the upper end of the "mid level" stuff — one can see that they are template mods, but they have much greater modifications than most others, and i do dabble in from-scratch celestial bodies from time to time but those are very primitive and quite rare anyways... can't really go any higher because expressions scary)
