Mortan 1.4

Mortan is an average-sized star, with an interesting trait; it is the first star to have completely opposite colors (blue and red), being classified with a yet unknown spectral type, previously OM6V but reconsidered due to temperatures matching those of F-type stars. It is suggested to be a fusion of two previous similarly sized stars.
Although not as dense as some others, it has extremely high metallicity allowing for an absurd amount of celestial bodies in its rich planetary system.
Mortan has the traits of both high heat (e.g, O) and low-heat (e.g. M) stars, featuring the high heat (allowing for planets to not be tidally locked) of O-type stars and the long lifespan of M-type stars. Due to this, there is a comically small hot zone, a large habitable zone (in which there are several habitable planets), and a cold zone of intermediate size between those.
Mortan emits few traditional flares but emits "pusher flares", which are strong enough to make many moons not be tidally locked, but not strong enough to alter orbits. These pusher flares generally reach up to Vantormia's orbit, one of four gas giants in the system, but everything beyond that is tidally locked as normal.
