    You should know that you can change the looks of the Lunar mare (those dark plains, in this case you made them orange) in the "Craters" modifier at the top of the planet xml, there you can change the strength of the fall to the mare, the seed of the mare (so they look different from Luna's mare), their depth and so forth. You can also do this for the procedural craters, small and large. On Luna, there are 2 biomes by default. The first one is the highlands, and the second one is the plains. When I make a smaller moon, I modify their noise parameters so they don't look weird when on the surface (the most important parameters are strength and freqency). As I said above, in the biome section of the xml you can also tweak the craters' depth, angle, strength, frequency, seed etc. Combining all of these things would yield a celestial body that has different surface features than Luna while still using Luna's xml.
