Unlike the brilliant colors of the gas giants of our home system, Enone is severe and austere.
At first we thought the cloud structure was uninteresting but it soon became clear that this was not a static world. Extremely strong currents reach the deepest layers of the planet and pick up metallic hydrogen from the core.
The metallic hydrogen is interacting with the upper atmosphere in some very interesting ways.
We’ve even picked up strange detonations on the dark side of the planet! Most likely a form of ball lightning but odd in that it’s localized to a relatively small area.
There may also be a ring system around the orbits of the three smaller belt moons.
