Version 3.0

  • Added Eastport, Friendly Fjord, and Las Dunas Station.
  • Corrected underwater shading.
  • Upgraded atmospheric lighting to appear more earth-like and fuller.

Conditions

Titus is a temperate and sandy planet. Various lichens cover the plant's surface and vary in color between red, orange, yellow, and green. Her oceans are topped in a yellow layer of algae-like bacteria that help maintain the atmospheric cycle. The air pressure is denser than earth, however it is liveable. As the atmosphere is twice the magnitude of Droo's, normally aspirated engines are effective on first stages when launching.

Destinations

To-date, Titus has seven launch bases to travel between; it’s a pilots dream!

Conquest Island Launch Base

[CILB]

Conquest island is a large sandy dune with ancient mesas that are covered in light green to brown vegetation, this area is perfect for enthusiastic buggy drivers and pilots who like to land on wavy terrain.

Cape South Launch Base

[CSLB]

Cape South is a gateway to Titus’s southern ice cap, these Icelandic waters are prime exploration grounds and the proximity to the mountains make for a beautiful flight setting. It’s a mountain climber’s paradise!

Eastport

[ESPT]

A proposed shipping hub in the making; there will be a city here once they add custom structures!

Friendly Fjord

[FRFJ]

Friendly Fjord is sheltered by mountains on either side with a great view of the ocean; eat more fish.

Grimace’s Thumb Launch Base

[GTLB]

This launch base is located on a cape I call grimaces thumb, the continent I placed it on looks like a giant grimace lol (it’s that big purple guy from McDonalds).

Las Dunas Station

[LDST]

This is the hub of Las Dunas Islands, a cluster of sandy dunes. Don’t expect to see much though, its just sand.

Rocky Lake Launch Base

[RLLB]

Rocky lake is named for the mountains encompassing it, the launch base is located in a valley and the local weather is great for sailing!

Silent Cove Launch Base

[SCLB]

This is Titus’s oldest launch base, not very interesting but it’s probably the best place to launch rockets.

Sou-Montain Launch Base

[SMLB]

This is another rocky launch base located in a region I like to call Sou-Montania, the southern rockies. Like Cape South, this is another great place for flying.

Southern Ice Launch Base

[SILB]

Located on the shores of the Southern Cap, this is the coldest base currently established. The Icecaps have never been touched and this is the furthest south I’ve been

Place Your Own Launch Base!

I'm asking players to name various locations and Prospect for launch base locations!

Players are invited to comment the coordinates of any location (like mountain tops, deltas, or islands) along with a desired name for the location and I will include it every new update!

Launch Base Rules & Naming Conventions

New and Improved!

I have loosened the rules since the last version as I have found new ways to make things work!

Launch bases in or over water wont be accepted however ocean landing sites are as well as launching locations.

Names are very flexible, however the name of your location or launch base must be no more than 20 characters long (not including the words 'launch base' or 'airport') and the name must mean something in a real language.

Place names shouldn’t be named as a city or town unless it has a launch base, and regional names won’t often be accepted.

If you name something that has already been named or place a launch base too close to another (for my taste), It can't be used and I will let you know.

I am very flexible with place names, if you would like to name a place but feel it might not align with the rules, feel free to ask!

The tallest mountain is mine wherever that may be!

I reserve the right to reject launch bases and locations I disagree with, but I will always explain why!
