Tutorial for getting to another planet.

So how do I get to a different planet? Clearly there isn’t a tutorial. I’m struggling so bad. When I get my self in orbit around earth what do I do next? I know you have to target the planet. When I add the thing where you make a orbit how do I get my rocket to the new orbit not the original one. What I’m taking about is the red green shapes. Please help
