@HorizonsTechnologies again, that's not possible with the technique used to generate the effect currently, it would require remaking it from scratch.
@Pedro Yes but when you are speeding through the atmosphere at thousands of meters per second you are going to definitely make some visible air made with the compression of just the pure speed. It should have vapor off the sides instead of just the heat shield glowing.
You could keep your current render but add a separate one that shows the vapor scraping off the sides of the spacecraft.
This is a result of how the effect is calculated, if no "hot" part is rendered, there's no visible trail since it's not a volume but an image effect
