In designer modes some settings are needed (ex. lighting setting on high or you can't see what you're working on), and others are not, and the same is true for for flight mode (ex. lighting can be set lower in some instances). For these and other reasons it would be helpful to have separate visual effects and quality settings for designer and flight modes.
