Lateral movement (up/down) with use of E and Q keys unresposnive in all crafts. All W, A, S, D movements work properly otherwise.

Tested with craft shown in thumbnail (Strut w/ 4 RCS nozzles on all ends excluding side opposing the connected surface.

Note this has also been tested and true on the "docking practice" tutorial on the test satellite.

@J188 That's great! We didn't do anything behind the scene, but I'm glad to hear it's working now.

@AndrewGarrison not sure if you had done anything behind the scenes... my crafts seem to be functioning properly now all of a sudden. I double checked the mapping and all seemed accurate to what you said.. hopped into one of my crafts and suddenly it worked.. not sure what happened but it is completely functioning now! I'm extremely relieved! Thanks so much for your persistence and support Andrew!

@J188 That indicates it is a configuration problem with the device/game and not a configuration problem with the craft. In the control settings, the Turn Left and Turn Right commands are what control the Up/Down slider in Translation mode.

@AndrewGarrison Ha, so CORRECTION! I tried it again and realized that I must have mis-clicked the translation mode.. so turns out that the RCS does work in translation mode by using the UP slider... but the E and Q keys still don't do anything to control the movement however, and I definitely need to get that fixed up. Does that change anything?

As for the photo, what did you want me to take a photo of exactly? I can surely do that unless it's no longer needed as the above changes the scenario a bit. I'm certain we can figure it out and I can continue to enjoy it as I have!

And obviously entering translation mode does not make any difference, correct? Do you have a joystick plugged in? Could you provide a screenshot of it in this state? You could simply upload to imgur and share the link here. Sorry the game isn't working well for you.

@AndrewGarrison Thanks a bunch for your response! It appears that everyone else is able to other than myself... and that seems to be a drag...

So I tried out both things.. to no avail. E and Q doesn't register any movement on the Up slider nor does it even activate when I manually use the slider all the same; it's basically not working at all, period... so it seems. I also tried removing that file and trying it again and nothing seemed to work. I've already attempted to remove all local files within that folder and reinstall the game to see if there may have been an issue with any of the settings but turns out to be nil. Note that this is all done via keyboard and I have no external controller of any kind when I run it.

Is it possible that my default keymapping is flawed? Could you tell me what exactly is the command in the controls setting and I could double check... otherwise I'm all out of ideas. It's set to the default configuration anyhow so I can't seem to think even that is the issue.

Crossing my fingers you may have some other work arounds here?

Thank you for the sandbox. I was able turn on RCS and control the craft up/down movement via E/Q + translation mode. It certainly does seem like it's a configuration problem related to your device.

If you enable translation mode and click the plus button in the bottom left and add the UP slider, do you see any changes in the slider as you press E/Q? Is it possible that you have a joystick plugged in that is overriding the E/Q inputs?

One last thing you could try is deleting the ControlInputData.xml file in your folder here:

@AndrewGarrison yes, I set this up here for you with this link: https://www.simplerockets.com/s/IEGt9q/RCS-Fix-attempt

Mind you, not only does it work with my own craft but any craft already in-game including the one used in the Docking Practice. I've attempted to delete the game and remove local files but didn't seem to fix anything. Eager for your response! Thanks for the help!

Okay, thanks for the clarification. Do you have a sandbox available that I could download with this craft in this state?

@AndrewGarrison Yes it is. To confirm just in case:

using RCS Nozzles and not the multi-directional RCS nozzles
alignment matches design found on the satellite from "docking practice" tutorial
    RCS Activation group is enabled
Pilot orientation is accounted for and not misaligned from RCS Nozzles
    Translation mode is enabled
Key mapping is set to the default config

I'll go bonkers if there isn't a way to fix this
