I put the main craft with droods into a suborbital trajectory and got two droods outside once it went above the atomsphere. The drood who is showing no drag force is the second one, from the seat in the back of the craft. The drood was tethered to the main craft, but loading a quicksave removed the tether. They show zero estimated drag force, even when they reenter the atmosphere and other parts start to show it.
