Currently, each race course in the career mode is divided into five separate contracts, labeled from Contract 1 to Contract 5, each with increasing difficulty. However, this setup creates a redundancy that affects the game's pacing and player motivation. Players who complete a lower-tier contract (e.g., Contract 1) with a performance good enough for a higher-tier contract (e.g., Contract 3) still have to progress through the intermediate contracts (Contract 2 and 3). This redundancy forces players to participate in less challenging and repetitive gameplay experiences.

Suggestion:

  • Introduce a Dedicated Race Sub-Mode: Given the extensive array of racing courses and contracts in the game, a specialized race sub-mode should be implemented, distinct from the standard contracts. This mode would be a direct response to the issue of redundant contracts and could also provide additional UI space to display detailed course information, as suggested in my earlier post Refine contracts in career mode with precise names, descriptions, requirements.

  • Implement Bulk Contracts: If a dedicated race mode is not viable, introducing 'Bulk Contracts' could be an effective solution. This system would group multiple contracts associated with a single course into one comprehensive contract. Players could then complete multiple objectives within this bulk contract based on their performance in a single race.

  • Reduce the Number of Contracts: To minimize the work, I propose reducing the number of contracts per course from five to three. These could be categorized as Easy, Medium, and Hard, which match the typical difficulty scaling in this game and reduce unnecessary repetition.
