I can enable it from settings /quality /image/high

I think it's working again, turn on heat distribution and re entry damage and it should work.

Correct, the re-entry visual effects are currently disabled. We hope to get them working again soon.

I just tested reentry and you're right; there are no re-entry visual effects it seems. Bummer.

@SupremeDorian reentry damage destroys parts when they reach a set temp, it doesn't enable the visual effect.

Heat Distortion is for Jet Engines. You might want to try going to 'Settings -> Flight -> Reentry Damage' and turn it on.
