Editor lose ability to select or move parts

Whenever I'm working in the editor eventually I will suddenly lose the ability to select or move parts. I am not sure what causes it but the trend seems to be when attempting to radially attach parts I'll suddenly lose the ability to drag a part, following which I lose the ability to select any new parts without exiting a reloading the editor.
