After missing a node in a suborbital trajectory (I guess this happens in a fly-by and other non cyclic trajectories) it floats in space, if you select it two things can happen:
- It teleports to the center of the planet or a much higher orbit
- It shows the axial speed vectors all pointing in a cone to the surface of the parent body (as you can see in the second screenshot)

Dev Notes: Here's another sandbox with a suborbital node already planned. Just fly by the node without doing any burns and then try to click on the node and the console will spit out an exception.
