It would make accurate flying much easier. Sliders are good, but not as handy to use. They are more of trim sliders for different axes.

This would make takeoffs and landings so much easier. The ability to roughly guide in your aircraft with keys and then right click to use precision mouse controls would be a huge improvement all around. Especially so when it comes to flying out of trim aircraft with a controller. Using the mouse, you could just hold stick pressure and keep the craft's attitude exactly where you want it without autopilot.
