my crafts parachute landing system is useless because of the new parachutes they either deploy but then cut (ALL THE TIME) or my craft hits ground before it deploys. its really annoying but i hope it can be fixed....i cant take sr2 for much longer ;)

to see this simply attach 3 parachutes to a decently large tank..set parachute deployment density to full and let the craft cruise until the unhappeness hits you in the butt...waaaa

For known reasons you need to be flying for this to work

    @CYLEROSPACE there's a hidden property called "SnapThresholdMultiplier", you can set that to a large value

    Judging on the craft used, it seems your max deployment speed wasn't tweaked. If the craft falls faster than that speed, the parachutes won't deploy because they would most likely rip apart. You can tweak both the scale of the parachutes, their inflation altitude, and how fast they can open, for example, first have a set of parachutes to kill of speed, that they are cut to deploy larger ones that would rip apart in the reentry but that can bring the tank to much slower speeds.
