In fact,In sometimes the rocket engines don't need to generate smoke,for example,if you build a SCI-FI stuff,to a large extent,it don't need smoke and just exhaust when it takes off from a planet with atmosphere.
Too much smoke also can cause lagging,when I was making an effect that need engines count over that of three USSR N-1s' first stages,The smoke they generated caused my new laptop into a white screen ,but the whole part count is lower than 2K,and without drag and collisions.
If we can have a selection of rocket engines' part properties,set the selected engine can or can't generate smoke,that will be pretty good.

@InfinityTechnology
I’ve been waiting for this for so long because smoke ruins sci-fi stuff -

Launch steam or the smoke trail? Launch steam and smoke trail can toggle on/off.

@InfinityTechnology It would be also pretty cool if jundroo change the smoke generated by the rocket motors with the new particules of the lunch pad , because theese new particles have he ability to change color in direct ! :)

It would also be nice to be able to make changes to engine plume. Maybe in a tinker panel or something. Sometimes I feel like it's too short

It is clear that sometimes you will need the smoke...But if the smoke is too much with the works......

@Typer So if we can get a button in part properties category to decide which engine don't need smoke and which need smoke,this will be good.
