If you try to add a burn node before the periapsis on a hyperbolic orbit, the node is added and then immediately orphaned due to a bug in checking whether a burn node is at a valid spot. The camera briefly changes focus to the node, then back to the craft after the node is orphaned. Performing auto-burns after doing this can cause problems with executing the burn.
Burn nodes are orphaned if they were added before the periapsis on hyperbolic orbits.
