The red paint is barely visible. I'm not sure if this was a designed feature or a bug, but the vibrant red Proton - M text should be clearly visible, however in this case can not be seen.
This effect is an attempt to visually simulate condensation clouds, like this, which would likely block the red paint in real life, but I agree in the screenshot you linked it doesn't look strong enough to block it.
