    So I edited XML to scale some toroidal aerospikes:
    X-ray view in editor

    And the plumes look okay:
    launch views

    But a "real" linear aerospike would be better.

    Instead of gimbals, the real RS-2200 for X-33 used differential throttling in four different quadrants.

    @AtlantikWall45 According to the comments the under expansion looks bad. Also, it raises the part count a lot and it is not easily resizable. It doesn't really matter, though, since I doubt this suggestion will be used.

    @AtlantikWall45 It still wouldn't be quite the right shape right? Any way it wouldn't be realistic because linear aerospace engines have a bunch of combustion chambers around the edges instead of one like the toroidal aerospike. In addition, it takes more time to use XML.
