Right now, we have the ability to land boosters back on pads/droneships/and water, but making it TRULY reusable is a whole new story. It is really hard to make the crane/transporter and make it work. So I thought that maybe in career mode, if you could locate any unharmed booster in maybe a certain radius, you could choose to reuse it.

How would this work?

I think what could work is if you recovered it, it would be automatically save as a "subassembly" ready to pop on a new craft for 0 dollars (not counting the fuel)

Now that we know how this would work (in my opinion), I would like to quickly mention that water should have a certain speed where water can destroy a craft, because a craft can survive hitting water at 1500 m/s+. This is crucial for a reusable rocket system in career mode because if you just drop the boosters and let them hit the water at 500 meters per second, it would still be "reusing" them.

I think everybody would love this update.

Edit: I would also recommend a fee for "refurbishment" if needed.

@AeroplaneBuilder Yeah sadly this suggestion isn’t getting much attention.

I agree. I never had much interest in re-usable rockets on SR2 cause they aren't really re-useable, if this feature was added it would really make career mode better.
