Attaching two parts by manual selecting two attach points on them.

So we have two already attached parts with two or more free attachment points. They are close enough to be attached to each other but they aren't.
Lets say we will have something like attachment/connection mode where we will choose two parts and they will be connected by closest to each other free attachment points, or we wil manually select two attachment points on parts and they will be connected?
This will be great for comlex suspension, dempfer or some rotary systems.
