The game crashes everytime I start it, unless I start it within a sandbox of Sandboxie. I start the game from Steam, then Windows tells me the app crashed. If the prompt is ignored for a few seconds, a black window would pop up and close. I tried to start the app from the folder directly, re-install again and again under different locations, updated my video card driver, change compatibility settings, and updated to the latest beta release, but these methods didn't work. The sandbox was my current workaround. Please have the issue inspected. Thank you!

Thanks for trying those steps. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what is wrong, but if we ever have any more ideas I will let you know.

@AndrewGarrison Sorry for not checking the email these two days and thank you for the reply as well as the reminder!
My system is Windows 7. I checked the compatibility settings and there were OS options like Windows Server 2008 SP1, Windows Vista/SP1/SP2 and Windows 7. I selected all of these options one by one and ran the game. It didn't work.
And I tried all the steps from 1) to 5) you mentioned for both beta release and main branch release. I'm sorry to say the crash happened in every circumstance.
In the system log I found some records for the crash, they were mostly look alike, so I paste one of them here:

Faulting application name: SimpleRockets2.exe, version: 2018.2.18.20617, time stamp: 0x5bfdeaa2
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.24291, time stamp: 0x5be7857f
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x000000000006b746
    Faulting process id: 0x14f8
    Faulting application start time: 0x01d48f24ea340c0d
Faulting application path: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SimpleRockets2\SimpleRockets2.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll

I considered your mentioning on the crashes caused by Citrix and the possibility my crash could be caused by it. And through the system record above, I think it could be easier to judge whether it is identical to the crashes in school computers or not.
If there is no inconvenience, please stay in touch solely in forum threads for the frequency I check my email is far less than the website. You don't have to reply through email if my letter is used for file transfer. In such cases I'll also tell you in the future.
Thanks for your attention to the matter! Don't push too hard!

@SimpleEric I replied to your email, but in case you did not get it here's what I wrote:

Thanks for the bug reports. Unfortunately, it's still hard to say what is wrong. You mentioned you changed compatibility settings. What changes did you make?

    More stuff you can try:

    1) Open Steam client and right click SimpleRockets 2 -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Files
    2) Turn off anti-virus (just for testing)
    3) Right-click C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SimpleRockets2.exe from Windows Explorer and select run as administrator
    4) Ensure Windows is up to date
    5) Restart your PC (though I'm sure you've already tried this).

@AndrewGarrison Thank you for the suggestion on downloading crafts and sandboxes. But I still have to start Steam in the Sandboxie. Because Steam overlay is also isolated from the game even when Steam is running.
The game crashed from the fresh start. I couldn't enter the game screen. And in the outut_log.txt there are no clue to locate which sandbox or craft caused the crash. The content of the log is pasted below. There might be a possibility the crashes happened before the sandbox loaded and caused by Citrix.
I also found since the crash has been detected by OS, there were crashdump files generated in AppData\Local\CrashDumps. I'll send some of them to your email. The title would be "SR2 CrashDumps", from ericsfactory@outlook.com. Might this helps.

I had never heard of Sandboxie. It sounds interesting. Regarding the .sr2-sandbox file, I was only asking because I didn't understand what you meant by Sandboxie. You can download Sandboxes and Crafts far more easily by clicking the Download Crafts button in game and using the in-game Steam overlay web browser to download them.

We've had some issues with some students who use Citrix at their schools. It causes the game to crash immediately. If you try running the game again outside of Sandboxie and it crashes, we can take a look at your sandbox if you can send it to us. You can upload it to pastebin or email it to use at games@jundroo.com. You can find it here:

@AndrewGarrison The game doesn't run directly, nor by double-clicking the .sr2-download file. The name "Sandboxie" is a bit confusing with the game. Sandboxie is a software to run apps in an isolated environment. The use of Sandboxie is normally to prevent apps from changing Operating System settings. When I failed to start SR2 I tried to change the running environment of the game, and it finally worked with Sandboxie. I tested to download a SR2 build as you said with Sandboxie and that also worked. But the opening of a .sr2-download file is linked to Steam. Which means if I want to download a SR2 build I have to start Steam in Sandboxie first, open the game within it, and then run the .sr2-download file within the Sandboxie as well. To the OS these operations don't "really" happened. They all within the Sandboxie environment. The files I downloaded was placed to somewhere else. I have to restore them by hand. And if I start any games in the "sandboxed" Steam, they would be "sandboxed", too. Any new gaming progress have to be refreshed by hand. I found the Sandboxie environment was somewhat different to the actual OS. But I don't have any idea what difference made it work. So that's the clue I have for now. Sorry for the confusion.

And I searched for file "Citrix", there is a folder has the name, but it's empty. Did it affect the game?

Are you saying that you can download a sandbox from SimpleRockets.com by clicking the download button and then double-clicking the .sr2-download file and the game works?

Do you have Citrix installed by chance?

@AndrewGarrison There was an output_log.txt generated when crash happened.
