Please pass this along to the vizzy devs if this is the wrong place. Or please let me know where to submit it (contact: darthgently@unvarnished.info)
I've only been playing with vizzy in JNO or a week or so and come from a professional programing background and a few years of KSP/kOS messing about. So forgive my ignorance of what the vizzy editor may already do that I haven't discovered yet.
At the least, a global progressive search of tokens, built-ins, varnames, and string and numeric constants where one could click forward and back through the result set much as in a web browser search within a document. In the vizzy editor case, the screen would scroll to each result as the user navigated to result list. Global search and replacement of custom names and string and numeric constants would be useful also.
When hovering over a block that refers to a custom expression or variable, simple and deep copy icons pop up around the block. The addition of an icon that when selected scrolls the screen to where that custom block is defined would be stellar for complex vizzy code.
A main menu option and hot key to scroll to the start block (some code is quite block hairy with the start buried in there somewhere).
Various "x-ray" views could be considered, like a list of all custom expressions and variables. Perhaps a list of all event handlers. These views would allow navigation to the defining code blocks.
Thanks
