I know that the docking issue has been raised many times. But it appears that nothing has been made to seriously solve the thing. I have read the old posts about that. Something has been planned? I mean, something that not involves 2 hour of tries and 20 quicksaves.
My suggestions: when a docking port is targeted, the docking port of the controlled ship should be possible to be kept parallel in order to avoid the drift caused by the RCSs units, and add "counteraction" to the RCSs, like the 2D game "Spaceflight Simulator", in which the RCSs automatically stops spins and drifts when no commands are applied.
The unreasonable difficulty of docking kills the game, building a proper space station is beyond the patience of anyone, when it should be something possible.
I'll trade the Navball and the astronauts for a good docking method.
