Realistic weather would include multiple aspects, all listed below:
1. Headwind: editable or natural, headwind would be a natural wind force that would do things like create more lift while the wing is poiting at the headwind.
Headwind would take into consideration (if looking for realism) pressure, temperature, and others for its direction and speed. The game could randomily generate hurricanes (use things like the coriolis effect), and Katabatic wind could use some sort of system taking the speed of wind and using a height map to create an acceleration for the wind, making it travel slower going up slopes, and faster down slopes.
2. Weather: weather like rain, thunder, etc formed for their own reasons (please make taking a direct hit from thunder possible). i wouldnt mind thunder be randomized because simulating positive and negative charges would be absolutely crazy.
- weather would incorporate things like sun rays, realistic clouds and weather that would ideally be toggled on/off with settings. also make headwind simulating go with physics simulation options.
Note: editable weather for cheats (like changing local - 10 km range around craft - weather and headwind direction) would be lovely
All of these incorporate a single system for advanced weather
