Main Menu selecting a craft already in flight

Currently the only way to take control of a craft already in flight is to launch any rocket (you don't have to actually launch it but it must be on the launch pad); go to map view, select the craft saved from an earlier flight and from the orbit info window select "take control". A main menu option would list all current saved flights or command modules (craft) and allow you to select one to "take control of this craft".
