Some potential parts that would be amazing to have in the next update for SR2:
Different types of structural elements, i.e. sloped blocks, rounded blocks, their corner variants, spheres and hemispheres would be cool to see. If this isn’t possible, then maybe the regular block could have an interface to adjust its size and shape. I know you can already do this with fuel tanks, but they’re hard to place exactly where you need them to be.
Propeller engines. Oh. My. God. Propeller engines. This is an aerospace game after all, and it would be nice to have a method of propulsion that isn’t Jets or rockets. I know that people have already made magnificent planes using motor-based props, but the fact that they’re nearly silent is a bit off-putting.
Some sort of A.I. aircraft that spawn randomly and just fly around would add a sense of humanity to the game.
Different types of command pods. We already have a regular command pod, but it’s sort of difficult to incorporate that into a plane shape. Maybe there could be a dedicated cockpit for planes?
A way to see if landing gear is level to the ground or not. I’ve had so many times where I built a new plane and the landing gear would be too big at the front or back and make my entire plane sloped up/down.
Small SRBs that would be dedicated to staging boosters away from a rocket.
Weather? Self explanatory.
A dihedral editor for wings. If you want wings at an angle, you have to put them at a different place on the parent part.
we have cockpits, we have command discs, we are getting propellers, we have tools to slope and round things.
