Might not be a bug, but is still a flaw. After staging my rocket, by simply clicking on a fuel tank not attached to my rocket and moving it, all of the staging changes. This fuel tank is not connected to my rocket, and I am only moving it away from my rocket, not attaching it to anything. I feel as though this shouldn't alter staging.

This happened to me last night. It was incredibly frustrating. I'm taking a break from SR2 for a while.

@AndrewGarrison I did make a change to the craft, but not to anything that should affect staging. I had the rocket staged with 18 different stages, and there was a fuel tank off to the side of the building area, not connected to any part of the rocket while I staged it. This part was not in any way connected to my craft, but moving it around and still having it not connected caused the staging to rearrange into the automatic configuration with only 13 or 14 stages that were out of order. I would expect it to update if I had connected the tank to my craft, or disconnected a fuel tank, but I translated a disconnected tank upward without touching my craft, and this caused a change in staging. Again, not sure if this is a true bug, but it seemed odd.

Any changes to your craft result in staging being recalculated. If you make any manual changes to your craft and those are not preserved after reconnecting the fuel tank back where it was, then that would be a bug. Is that what happened? If so, can you tell me exactly what staging you had and what you expected it to be after reconnecting and what it actually was?
