shove camera on your craft. Note that the position your view is isn't the same as the location of the block.

note the camera in the screenshots is level with the windscreen block there. As you can see, the location the camera is looking out of s rather high...

    We do this intentionally to try and prevent the view from clipping through parts. You can disable this behavior by turning off the Pad Position setting in part properties for the camera part.
