In vizzy I have been working on a boost back program further. The problem is that it does weird things after the velocity direction is changed. And this isn’t just on mine. I tried Kell Aerospace and iSpace boost back program too. It flips the heading which messes it up. But the same program works on the crafts that they were programmed for. Even crossed over (for at least the boost back). What is wrong with my craft. Because it isn’t the program obviously.

@Patelsh24 I think I figured it out. The boost back is starting to early and getting way to much longitude velocity because it isn’t pointed in the correct place. A stronger gyro and more RCs is always the answer. And maybe starting the burn a bit later. If I can get the burn to start after the rocket is facing in the correct position it should work.

@Patelsh24 that still didn’t work. The problem is it starts getting random values. It seems like it was a coincidence that it happened near the change in velocity heading. It might be something in the delta prev

@Patelsh24 Okay. Thanks for the idea. I think I got it form here. Just strange how most rockets don’t seem to experience this problem.

I just have a PID that aligns the velocity heading to the target heading after the lateral velocity has been cut off
