Landing Gear Bays

I had this vision of a landing gear bay(without landing gear) style cargo bay.
I believe it would be much easier to implement this (just removing the landing gear) and to place it by attaching it to a finished place than planning for it.

And it would have sliders for height width lenght and a variety of doors from f22 style to b52.

Or just the option to remove landing gear from the bay to be an empty space.
