Is there a way to lower the volume of the side interchanges?

I have my volume set low overall but when activating the side interchanges it's still too loud of a "bang" (in my opinion). I'd like to still hear it as a confirmation indicating it has been activated, just not as deafening. Unlike the Cargo Bay and other moving components, there is no (obvious) volume adjustment.

Perhaps something in the XML? I'm a total novice when it comes to the XML stuff.
