Hi Everyone,
It's time for a quick update on everything ESS related! This time its some quite exciting news, I am hoping to have ESS 4.0 - Next Generation completed and released this Sunday the 28th at 20.00 GMT.
Next Generation has been in the works for around 6 months now, due to constant changes in the game itself, this patch being a bit of a solo project, and the chaotic state of everything at the moment. Some things are not quite completed to the level I would normally release at, but I want to speed up and present the work that's already done due to the excessive development time. With this in mind, please consider the 4.0 release to be a bit of a beta--I plan to work on small patches to this baseline version to add more structures and details to the existing celestial bodies.
Abbreviated Changelog:
- Mining installation on T.T.
- Added Cylero One Base from lore.
- Replaced stock Cylero moons with improved performance Exoo and Ilithos.
- Revamped Exoo mine.
- Added improved performance Arcos moon of Tydos.
- Revamped Arcos crash site.
- Added new planet Pollux with multiple lore-connected locations.
- Added Phoebe moon of Pollux.
- New skybox (from ParallelMayhem) with improved quality on all resolutions and FOVs.
Other ESS Projects:
Due to the additional work I'm putting into ESS 4 to get it out this weekend, I will be putting the video tutorials and lore releases on hold temporarily until the week beginning 5th April. While it isn't an easy choice to delay these side projects for two weeks in a row, I am taking a forced week's break from study and ESS related work over Easter.
