ETA-8 Launch Updates:
Today, the Service and Transport team completed the pre-rollout checklist and proceeded to move ETA-8 and it's respective launch infrastructure. As of 1am on April 18th, ETA 8 is resting on the pad awaiting it's pre-launch testing. Launch is currently scheduled for NET 5:35pm on April 18th, supposing all testing goes well in the coming hours. Now, let's take a look at what has to happen for a launch to occur tomorrow.
Completing a Full Countdown Sequence all the way up to quick disconnect release.
Completing a Full Propellant Recycle Procedure.
Guidance Certification and Approval for Launch.
Arguably, the hardest out of all of these steps will be the last one, as the landing guidance is still relatively new, that step will take a lot of work: We will feed the flight computer fake data that we have collected across multiple simulations of the flight, as we feed this imput, the computer will give multiple outputs such as the new pitch it set, the new throttle, and similar. We will then compare this data to the expected data and if everything is within our pre-determined margins, we will proceed with the launch sequence. As this is a test flight, we won't be livestreaming the event, but stay posted to our social media platforms for raw telemetry and footage from the flight coming later.
