Downloads on the other hand, they speak volumes. Upvotes while nice and giving euphoria about a build does not necessarily mean that a low upvote build is bad so stop worrying so much. Downloads are far more important because it shows people who actually liked your build enough to warrant trying it out and playing with it, far more important than a measly 15 worthless points.
Chill out, have fun, build for fun not for points.

Nobody can be trusted around here my friend, I once thought that but now I realise it. Don’t say I didn’t warn you in future.
I mean points are (generally) an indicator to show which users make good crafts. Higher the points, more quality the crafts are.
Disagree a bit, I think the point system isn't bad because it shows who is trusted and more experienced in the community. But the people who just farm the points are really annoying and make me hate the system.
There is a point made here. Starting out, it took me quite some time to get to the minimum 15 points for me to be able to upvote others' works. So I got used to being able to download crafts without necessarily upvoting them. So I think it'd be nice to show also an indicator of some sort to show the number of downloads from your creations as well. But I guess that also defeats the purpose of this post. It far much matters more to enjoy yhe game, building and sharing, rather than solely focusing of progress by number of upvotes.
