In connection with the construction of the new launch complex, the planned launches and tests were postponed until an indefinite period. And now we are ready to report on the readiness of the suborbital launch pad and the landing platform.
The Suborbital Launch Pad already has a Flying Mouse and a brand new pad that is designed to test the first and stage with a lot of loads than the previous one.
Comparison
The old SLP-1 could only withstand the load of five old engines from the new family, which had a smaller thrust and suspension range. Nor was it designed to test the second stage and test for strength.
The new SLP - 2 Can withstand a load of 5 times more than the previous one, despite the fact that the first stage of the new rocket from the Mouse family will have only 10 engines.
Before the main test, we will conduct 2 static fire tests and check the system of full opening of the landing supports. In case of excellent results, the first window of the test attempt opens on July 25.
