Juno: New Origins | I'm new here, or am I?

This is literally where the meme "well yes, but actually no" would fit, in that question above.
For those who play both SP and SR2 and/or have an account at both sites, I am JeskoGoesVROOM from the SP site, and about 2 or 3 weeks ago I said that I'll be making an SR2 site account since I play both games, and here I am right now.
However, there are a few questions I'd like to ask before starting to actually post stuff.

- Are there any key differences between the markdown formatting between the SR2 and SP sites? Yes, I've checked the pinned guide (but didn't have much time), and it seems that basic stuff like italic, bold and boldtalic (yes I came up with that word to combine the two) are the same, but I'm mostly wondering about picture links and hyperlinks (the blue clicky things, for those who don't know).

- Are the points systems any different from the SP site?
  2B - How are the ranks gained? I've seen crazy reds and blues all over the place and would like to know the amount of points needed to get some of them (I assume the moderator, developer and other similar ones stay roughly the same as in the SP site.)

yeah for number 2 is was mostly asking for the amount of points needed (not like i actually care, just to get a better grasp of things)

1: not that i know of
2: the website is heavily based on if it looks good or if you have influence. if it looks good you’ll get upvotes, if it doesn’t, then i guess you’ll have to see if you still do. if you have influence, as in a lot of players follow you for whatever reason, they’ll most likely upvote most of your stuff regardless of quality. we don’t like people who do that though.
rankings goes something like this: 100 points for grey, 1000 for green, 2500(?) for blue, 10k for silver, 20k(?) for gold, and i think 100k for platinum, which so far only Foxtrot has. Red is for moderators/devs only.

can you please explain better? i'm a bit of an idiot myself.
basically, when i log in to the account, does the SP-site transferred one get the points or does my current new one get them?

can you explain by "log into my SP account?" do i just login to my SP account on the SP site or enter the login stuff of my SP account on the SR2 site? otherwise thanks for answering

No.
Works the same way, but getting them is a challenge, due to the extreme inactivity on the site.

Anyway, if you want, log into your account on SP here. It will give you 100 free points, if you have some random amount on your other account.
