September 5, 2021 – Ispace accouned that it will attempt to land Beta rocket's first stage in water during next Rideshare mission, scheduled for lift-off in mid-October.

“Bringing a whole stage back intact is the ultimate goal, but major goal for this mission is really about gaining more data” said Jim, iSpace’s founder.

Following the outcome of this attempt, the final phase of our vehicle recovery program will be to land Beta’s first stage on a droneship before the rocket relaunch. If the droneship landing attempt is successful, future Beta missions might be able to carry heavier payloads into higher orbits.

@EggySPACE hopefully not. But I have so many questions for @iSpace. Like what will the drone ship be named?

WHOOOOOO!!!! DRONE SHIP! DRONE SHIP! DRONE SHIP! @iSpace, what will your drone ship be named? And will it need a tug? And also, what is the naming convention for your drone ships?
