today, i was recently scammed. well, almost. lemme provide you with the details. hint, we have lots of screenshots today. let’s start from the beginning, shall we?
so, it started with this dude on Discord saying i won a Discord contest i joined yesterday morning (pst time). in case you were wondering, it is a last to leave, and i am still in it. anyway, the dude said i won the contest. i was skeptical, because there were lots of people still trying to compete for free nitro. so, i said alright, knowing i wouldn’t do what he said. he didn’t respond, because he said he wouldn’t until i left the stage. 🤦??? anyway, then i asked him how i would know if he was the right dude or not, and he didn’t respond. i later took it to the server hosting the contest. from there, he said that he deleted his messages. luckily, i took screenshots of it before he did, and showed him.
we argued a bit, and then said i would report him. he said to try it, and you shouldn’t try to dare me to do something. so, i DMed one of the online mods, to see if they could help, and luckily, they did. he got warned, and i didn’t think that was enough, but i didn’t ask for further administrative action. while the mod said that my report was in progress, i DMed the annoying dude saying, “successful report”. i waited a bit for him to respond, and he said he got the warning from my server, which he did not. he argued with me a bunch, and i stopped talking to him, and closed my DM. insane, right? yeah…
