For the first stage, It has the M-3 methanol full flow staged rocket engine optimized for 10 k altitude, with 6 inline solid rocket booster for the first 20 seconds of flight

For the second stage it has a MV-3 engine, that is a smaller more efficient version of the M-3 but optimized for vacuum.

Equipped with reusable clamshell fairings, and airbags on both stages for landing, Centauri is fully reusable without skimping on payload mass.
