How do asymmetrical rocket work?
I always wanted to do a asymmetrical rocket project on sr2
There are some rockets like Atlas 5 1srb version too, but they are not too asymmetric they can be controlled by gimbals but some rockets like this and this
Are very asymmetric and can't be controlled by gimbals easily they are extremely different from the Atlas 1 srb version. So I need some help from you guys I am going to make a rocket which has hight twr in the asymmetric booster which makes it a unstable rocket so how do I need to do it stable as possible (without gimbal, no throttle)
Helping would be appreciated!
Thanks

I'd suggest doing research on the space shuttle since it had a similarly asymmetric design. The SRBs were lined up with it's overall CoM, but the orbiter and it's main engines were well off the CoM. To make it work, the engines are pointed slightly away from the CoM, effectively pushing back toward the CoM. When you do the math to calculate the total thrust and it's vector of acceleration, if you got the angle right, everything will line up like it's supposed to, however it will be diagonal compared to the rocket's orientation.

@FalconAero what angle should I use?
Do I need to make it fire at com? -

@NotVedhaspace replace it then!
Else dm me a model rocket..
I will get it fixed for you

@FalconAero can't we do some engine angle changes for correcting the centre of thrust so it's stable?

@NotVedhaspace this isn't possible. Why would you do this? TVC is literally the only way to do asymmetrical rocket

@DareDevilSpaceAgency and the srb has high thrust and can't be controlled by throttle

@DareDevilSpaceAgency ohh but that was a bit annoying and is not good for publishing that lol, even small mistakes make the trajectory, stability, velocity and drag and make it a bit non user friendly

@YaMomzBox420 thanks, that's a great example
